District 8 One Acts Festival

District 8 One Acts Festival 2019 is taking place on October 23, 24, and 25. This festival is hosted at Hialeah High's Auditorium once again. Members of Troupe 1576 don't just compete; they host! This year, our award winning actors are putting on a show called The Weird. The select plays who earn a Critic's Choice get to mount their performance on a stage at States! Sign up now as a volunteer to earn community service hours!

District 8 Individual Events Festival

Many of our beloved Thespians prepare for months in advance for the annual I.E.s Festival. This is the biggest focus of our Troupe, We compete every year and win top awards in small events ranging from Solo Musicals to Student Directed, to large ones like Ensemble Acting and Production Design. Those hardworking few who earn a Superior are eligible to compete at the state level! You even have a chance to earn a Critic's Choice, and be eligible to represent the whole district at States!

Florida State Thespian Festival

States! Florida State Thespian Festival is the crème de la crème of all worldwide drama festivals! It is the largest theatre event in the entire world! It has more attendance than the International Festival! Our members get to spend nearly a whole week in Tampa, Florida, where they will attend workshops and those who received superiors get to compete once more! States is also a chance to watch other spectacular performances by other Troupes all around the state. It is an immersive experience that introduces you to a new culture of theatre, friendship, food, and independence. We hope to see you there!
